  • Rinse cranberries and pick out and damaged or mushy ones.
  • Bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
  • Add cranberries, bring back to a boil, then lower and simmer for 7 minutes.
  • Add cinnamon stick and simmer for another 2-3 minutes, until most of the cranberries have burst.
  • Add nutmeg and diced oranges. Simmer for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
